Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was one of the greatest blockbuster hits to come out of early 2018. The film is a different take on the older 1995 movie Jumanji starring Robin Williams. While the older movie brought the board game into the real world, the newer version does the opposite. Four teenage kids are sucked into a video game and transform into adult avatars played by the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan.

Many movie-goers went into this movie expecting it to be horrible. They believed it would be like every other movie remake from the 1900s. What made this movie work, however, is that it was truly nothing like the original movie. The plot is different and the time period is so different it feels like a truly different movie. It is definitely one to go see if you haven’t already and might end up being one of the funniest movies of 2018. With many dumb jokes and mindless action scenes, it’s really a movie to just sit down and laugh at with your friends and family.
