Nathan Kerlin’s biggest inspiration to start playin soccer were his sisters. After seeing his sisters play at the games, Nathan got inspired and started playing himself. Nathan said “I was at basically every game of my sisters and at some point I wanted to play too. After that I started playing and never stopped.”
Nathans coaches have had a big impact on his career. His first coach taught him the basics of coaches like passing, dribbling and shooting. As he got older the coaches got harder on him to make him more competitive. He looks up to Virgil Van Djik because “he’s always willing to put his body on the line for that ball and for his team and he’s always a good team player.” After
Nathans doctors told him that he would never play soccer again and that this injury would end his career, but through determination and love for this sport Nathan put his mind to it and was able to return to the sport he loved just 11 months later. For the last two years he has been playing varsity for Arlington High School. Nathan is planning to attend Western Kentucky University and is majoring in Accounting with a minor in finance. Nathan is also planning on playing club soccer for WKU.
