Shelby Klein

Shelby Klein might be new to teaching, but she is ready to take on the challenge, “I’m enjoying it. I just started in August.”

Ms. Klein graduated this past May from University of Memphis, where she excelled in the teaching degree program. She considers Arlington Community Schools one of the top programs in the state. “I feel like the parent involvement in the Arlington area is so much greater than other areas, and that makes a big difference with the parents and the community, when parents get involved in the classroom it makes everything lot easier,” she says.

Among loving her time at Donelson Elementary teaching her 3rd grade class, she still has things she likes to do outside of school, “I like to hangout with my friends, watch Netflix, try to stay away from work but its hard to not take some of it home.” Ms. Klein also enjoys playing with her dog Sammy, who is a German Shepard and golden retriever mix.
