“When I was eleven years old, my family and I went to visit my cousins in Mississippi. The whole time we were down there there was horrible weather so we weren’t able to really do anything. It got really really bad our fourth day visiting and there ended up being a tornado warning. I started freaking out because I had never been around any type of bad weather really. The sirens started going off and my aunt made us go down in the basement to take shelter. After staying in the basement for over an hour, we were able to leave because the storm had passed. The tornado ended up hitting their neighborhood and the ones around it. Luckily, everyone was okay but it was by far the scariest expereince of my life.” -Krista Estes
