Several sports and extracurricular activities have been severely affected this year. Some teams have had to be quarantined and could not practice as much. I wanted to get the inside scoop on how the Arlington Dance Team has been affected. I have chosen to interview Emma Eason, freshman. Emma Eason has stated several different things that they have had to do differently this year. She is “required to wear a mask while practicing, which can be very difficult.” “Competitions, in general, have been cancelled and changed because they also have to wear masks while walking on to the floor and walking off the floor.” The whole dance team has had to quarantine and has had one girl on the team get COVID-19. Emma is very upset that she can not complete as much this year. The dance team has had to take several safety precautions like taking their temperature and using hand sanitizer whenever they can.
