A recent low performing Health Department score for the Arlington location Lenny’s has management making changes to provide a better eatery for residents.

At the beginning of February 2023, Lenny’s scored a 73 on their health inspection. After scoring so poorly, management decided to take a new approach to the store by hiring new management and employees, and also updating their training. New Lenny’s manager David Coy feels this approach is the best way to improve the location. “We take pride in our store and it was upsetting knowing we made that score. We felt it was best to start fresh.”

Management started by updating their training and ensuring all new employees were properly trained on health and safety measures.  One of the main deductions of the evaluation was meat being improperly stored at the wrong temperature.  In addition to properly training employees on health and safety standards, new training on maintaining store cleanliness is also a high priority.  “I am so happy to be able to make updates to the store and am planning on continuing to succeed,” says Coy.

Lenny’s is a chain sandwich shop with one location in Arlington, TN. Lenny’s opened in 1998 by owners Len and Sheila Moore in Bartlett, Tennessee.
