The Arlington Highschool Artshow

The AHS art show is happening tonight and students are very excited about it. The AHS art show is a gallery walk through of student art set up in the Rotunda. This art show gives students the opportunity to show off their art and even sell it. It is extremely beneficial for students who want to make money off of their art someday, or students who want to show off their skills.

Art student nada daas writes, “The art show was so much fun and I’m happy to have participated and put art into it.”

The art placed into the art show ranges from a wide variety. Whether it be a self portrait or a digital art piece, the art show doesn’t fail to leave out anyone. The art hanging up is all very inclusive, whether it be race, sexual orientation or mental health awareness. Students drew portraits of orphans from around the world and plan on sending the pieces to those children once the art show is over.

Fine Art student Savannah Gray says, “Truly some of the most impressive art I’ve ever seen, I heavily enjoyed walking around and viewing the art.”

Art means the world to the students here at AHS. Students feel like they can convey the message they need to by using art. Some students use art as a form of venting or self expression that they feel they cannot let out using words. Students love to express themselves and let their creativity truly flow for others and themselves to enjoy and proudly display.

Art Student Olivia Flora States, “The art show is very important to me because I feel I can express my self and how I truly feel.”
