STEM and Work-based learning teacher, Mrs. Sandlin-Rogers, is the sponsor for our very own Corn Hole Club. Both AMS and AHS students participate in the club. There are around 80 people total from 6th-12th grade apart of the club. They practice regularly during scheduled stripes time and have practices after school twice a month. They compete as either individuals or as teams and participate in various tournaments throughout the area. Tournaments go on almost every day with some being regional, local and national level. Several of the players even travel and have sponsors. Mrs. SandlinRogers comments on freshman, Jace Barber, saying “He is one of our top players on the team and is a pro player who is also apart of a minor league team. He even has a sponsorship supporting him.” Other top performers on the team are senior, Daniel Schulte and Arlington Middle School’s Lincoln Rogers, who also have sponsors. Recently, the team attended their first National College and High School shoot out over Christmas Break.
If you’re interested in being apart of the Corn Hole Club, reach out to Mrs. Sandlin-Rogers.
