On Monday, March 3, Media Arts students traveled to Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN to attend the Tennessee High School Press Association awards ceremony.
Media Arts students had the oppurtunity to enter some of their projects into the contest. There were 56 categories and 634 total entries in the contest. 19 pieces submitted from AHS students qualified as finalists in the contest.
AHS took home 21 awards including 7 first place awards. TigerLife received 1st place for best website, Noah Certion received 1st place for best tv reporter, Grayson Brandt received 1st place for best sports videos, best photo, and best advertisement. Additionally, Rebecca Spencer was awarded 1st place for best infographic/photoillustration and Chandler Crawford, Eli Pasco, Kaden Gearhart, and Princeton Irby earned 1st place for best audio project.
While attending the awards ceremony at Lipscomb University, Students also got the opportunity to tour the tv studio.
