Campbell Funk’s AHS Media Arts Experience!

Friday, May 9th is the last day of school for seniors at Arlington High School. Throughout my four-year journey here, I have learned a lot and gone through many valuable lessons.

This is my second year in Digital Journalism and the class has taught me about media and how to create stories that are relevant to my own life.

I have attended AHS since my freshman year, August of 2021. My first year here I took Introduction to Film and Video. This class introduced me to the AHS Media Arts Program and exposed me to all of the amazing opportunities they have to offer.

Junior and senior year I decided to take Digital Journalism because I had previously heard great things about the class. When first starting the class two years ago, I was unsure what exactly I would be doing. Since then, I have learned how to shoot video projects, create podcasts, and take photos.

This class has made me more invested in media arts and has taught me to think about the backstory when watching a production or creating my own story. The AHS Media Arts Department has taught me patience, optimism, and to stay open-minded when doing something new.
