KyLynn’s Digital Journalism Recap

A Class that Produced Memories and Friendships
This is my second year taking Digital Journalism with Mrs. Bateman. This school year we focused more on photos, rather than video stories. (Ella Parker)

This class was fun, informative, memorable, and special. Every student to come out of this class has positive things to say about Mrs. Bateman and digital journalism. I am so thankful I had to opportunity to take this class for two years. (Breleigh Bunker)
These friendships that were formed or strengthened in this class have been utilized outside of school as well. This was at a church dodgeball tournament. (KyLynn McGuire)
The girls who had Mrs. Bateman for two years are going to school in Mississippi and will be 1.5 hours away from each other. They plan to make visits to see Mrs. Bateman when they’re home from school. (KyLynn McGuire)
These friendships have made many memories and had experiences that will be remembered forever. This was before their senior parade. (KyLynn McGuire)
In my junior year, we had the privilege of going to a fun, informational, and memorable field trip to the Univsersity of Memphis to learn about their media classes.
Ella Parker and KyLynn McGuire were lucky enough to be taken on an Ikea field trip and learn more about their desired career.
In the 2024-2025 school year, many of our assignments were photo based. This is a behind the scenes of one of my projects. (KyLynn McGuire)

About the Contributors
KyLynn McGuire

KyLynn McGuire is a senior at Arlington High School. She is in Digital Journalism because she is interested in the Sports Broadcasting field. Aside from sports articles, she enjoys criminal news articles. After high school, KyLynn plans to go to Mississippi State University for four years to become an interior designer. This school year, she hopes to write intriguing stories that keep the audience reading!

Ella Parker
Ella Parker, Journalist
Ella is a senior at Arlington High School. She is interested in digital journalism because she wants to allow everybody to hear the interesting news happening at the school. Her favorite topic to write about is sports articles and she really enjoys making podcasts. Her plans after high school include going to Mississippi State University and majoring in interior design. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the lake, taking her dogs on walks, and shopping.
Breleigh Bunker, journalist
Breleigh is a junior at AHS. In her free time, she enjoys playing softball as her main sport and cross-fit as training. Breleigh has always enjoyed film and video classes. Her freshman and junior year, she started off by taking intro to film and video, and she is currently taking digital journalism for her second year. She is excited to learn more.
