Julie Linsey
It takes a special kind of teacher to teach AP Calculus and Chemistry, and this new AHS teacher is more than ready for the challenge. Julie Linsey started her training at Muskingum University and continued her education at the University of Cincinnati, where she received her Chemistry and Calculus degree. Mrs Linsey states, “I enjoy teaching here very much so far.”
Mrs. Linsey has been teaching for 22 years now and explains that she loves every minute of it. “I became a teacher because I enjoy helping children learn,” says Mrs Linsey. She has had a passion for learning and has been interested in teaching since she was in the 9th grade. Her reasoning for becoming a teacher, she explains, was that she was fascinated with the process of learning and has always been interested in how she could help others.
“When I am not teaching or spending time with my two children, I enjoy hiking and exploring state parks,”she says. Other than that she is very relaxed outside of school and hangs out with her husband and two dogs.
