There once was a very old man

He had a big hat that looked like ham

He loved it so much and held it so tight

But he forgot he set it on a table one night

In came trotting his little dog Sam

He thought that the hat was real ham

He grabbed it and ran out the doggy door

And a ham hat the old man had no more

In the morning the man saw his hat wasn’t there

He reached for his head and pulled out his hair

He wore that dumb hat every single day

So until he got his hat, in his room he would he would stay

His absence had started to make his wife mad

So she put his lost hat in a newspaper ad

After looking around all day and all night

She heard the sound of her dog’s vicious bite

The dog had mistaken it as a tasty treat

All because his hat looked like meat

She went into town to the weird hat store

And found out that there was only one more

She knocked on his door with a tap tap tap 

And he went on forever thinking that was his hat
