Mrs. Carpenter started teaching 10 years ago but this is her first year teaching at Arlington. She grew up in Bartlett, TN. She attended the University of Memphis and received her bachelors and masters degrees. Her favorite grade growing up was the second grade. Mrs. carpenter says she loves teaching.”we have bad days at work but they are never really bad days because we work with kids, they keep you young, they keep me on my toes I’m always learning.” She says her kids are what motivate her to teach everyday. “She smart, she’s funny, she’s nice, she teaches,” says one of her students. Carpenter makes sure her students are well prepared for quizzes and test. “I have test anxiety,” she says, “I know what it’s like and I like to let them know in advance before there will be an assignment.” She says that teaching is hard work but if you love to teach and be around kids you will never have a bad day. Carpenter says that teaching in Arlington is great because it feels like a great big family and everyone is so nice. Thank you Mrs. carpenter and hope to see you teaching in the future.
