Arlington Elementary School is an amazing asset to our community, allowing kids to excel and teachers to be teachers. Arlington has had an amazing group of teachers since the building was developed. One teacher in specific, with 24 years of teaching under her belt, Mrs. Angie Kee, has been putting in her hours, and continuing her passion for teaching. Mrs. Kee has a drive to keep teaching after all these years because of her “involvement in the community and  seeing her students light up!” Mrs. Kee could not fully comprehend what she would be doing if she was not teaching. “If I were not teaching I would probably open or own a store or a business,” says Angie. With her other dream of opening a local store, furthers our understanding that Mrs. Kee would like nothing else than to be a part of her community and give her little peice to the big puzzle.

The students that Mrs. Kee teaches will say it all if you ask them. Some things they have to say are “she is the nicest teacher I have” or “between my other teachers her class is easier to understand and she is always able to help me.” Throughout the years, Mrs. Kee has had hundreds of kids, and to this day will still remember a face. It really showed how much a teacher makes a difference when her students are prepared to move on and are able to remember their teachers after the years add up.

With numerous other teachers, teaching the same curriculum and different grades, these teachers should have a close relationship and a good analysis of what’s going on within the different classrooms. From what some of Mrs. Kee’s co-workers say, “She is a great asset because she may have good ideas fora class that isn’t even hers and vice-versa. She is just an amazing person and such a sweet lady.” According to the majority of the teachers in the school, “she has been here since the beginning and she knows what’s going on.” Mrs. Kee is overall a great part of the school.
