The World Above Us
November 27, 2018
You see it outside your window every night before you sleep
It glows above you in the early morning before the sun starts to peak
It’s always hanging above you, no matter where you are
Though a constant companion you can see, to touch, it’s still too far
A privileged few have visited, and felt it below their feet
But the rest are left to wonder about what secrets it may keep
Millions of miles away it drifts, a freezing and desolate land
But still we admire it from the ground and contemplate its plan
Will we ever know all the beauties that float up there?
We may never know, but for now I choose to stare
And wonder about the things happening in a world of mysteries
A place that contains all the world’s histories A place we call space, the last frontier
