Arlington high school recently held a 8 to 9 day, which is a day where future 9th graders have an opportunity to visit select classes and to get a scope of what high school life is like here at Arlington. The select classes were mainly fine arts programs such as film, art, chorus, orchestra, band, etc… The other classes were technical classes such as STEM ands welding. 8 to 9 is a great opportunity for the future freshmen to see the classes offered at arlington High school and for them to have an opportunity to make plans for their future so they aren’t as rushed or stressed come January when they choose their classes for 9th grade. Mr. Ashbee, a film teacher at Arlington, said, “ its encouraging to see such excitement and anticipation from our incoming 9th graders.” Hopefully some students learned something new and they are excited to choose their classes for their ninth grades year here at Arlington High School.
