ACS stays open amid Coronavirus panic

Schools all across the country are closing due to the Coronavirus scare. But ACS schools plan to stay open before the break. “At this time, neither the Shelby County Health Department nor the Tennessee Department of Education have made recommendations to close schools to contain the spread of the coronavirus or COVID-19. As such, there are no plans to close municipal schools at this time, through the situation is fluid and we will make decisions on school closures as new information emerges”.  Over the break the Shelby County Health Department and the Tennessee Department of Education will continue to consult and make decisions that are in the best interest of the students and staff.
