Edgenuity is an online learning platform used by Arlington this year to teach students a variety of courses. There are many different courses that it provides including geometry, pre-calculus, English, etc…. With this change in learning there have been a lot of mixed feelings about the platform. After interviewing Brenda Rooks, a current pre-calculus teacher at Arlington, she said “it has been invaluable.” She says that it has provided “excellent videos for remote learning” and allows them “to cover more material”. She then went on to say that the questions they provide are “excellent in teaching critical thinking” and more so than any other book. With so many different opinions about Edgenuity, students and teachers must decide what role they want it to play this year in teaching and or learning.
