Kalin Duncan, captain of the AHS Volleyball Team, recently just committed to further her academic and athletic careers at the University of Arkansas-Monticello! Duncan has been playing volleyball competitively since she was 12 years old, and has been on the top club team in her program since joining Memphis Metro. She also played on Arlington’s middle, and high school teams.
Duncan knew her Sophomore year in High School that she wanted to play at the collegiate level. After winning her districts MVP title, she started to get some buzz around her name. Since then, she was being recruited by the University of North Alabama, Maryville University, and her future homie Monticello.
“I chose Monticello because I met so many great people and they were all very welcoming. The professors, coaching staff, and athletic director really push that their student athletes are never alone and they will always have someone to go to. I also loved the campus and my future teammates!”
Duncan, a Senior, plans on majoring in Exercise Science in hopes of becoming a physical therapist, and cant wait to start her college life away from home. We wish nothing but the best for Kalin, and Go Weevils!
