If you haven’t heard, there’s a new hot spot joining Lakeland called The Lake District opening this upcoming July.

There will be a variety of notable stores and restaurants which makes The Lake District be the next big regional retail opportunity for the Greater Memphis area. Additionally, The Lake District will be featuring many brand new, locally owned businesses with one being “The Boba Society”.

Kaylie Nguyen, one of Arlington’s seniors, and her family will be the first boba-based (Asian bubble tea) shop opening in the Lakeland/Arlington area. Owner Lisa Nguyen, who has always had a love for coffee and tea, hopes that opening an Asian-owned shop will be “the perfect opportunity to introduce more culture and diversity and inspire people to try new things.”

The Daily Memphian also adds that “The milk tea, smoothie and snack bar will feature unique toppings to incorporate into its bubble tea drinks, such as brown sugar boba, fresh cut fruits, different flavored jellies, and puddings”. Aside from milk tea, The Boba Society will also feature natural fruit teas, fresh brewed Vietnamese-style coffee and Asian style small bites.

Incorporating Asian cultures in the menu such as Vietnamese, Korean, and Taiwanese will certainly make The Boba Society a shop you must check out while you’re at The Lake District. It is undoubtedly the perfect place grab a bite to eat, drink, and socialize with friends and family. Follow us on instagram (@bobasocietytn) for news and updates!
