On Friday, April 22nd, Arlington High School held its first Senior Picnic since the pandemic started. The Senior Picnic is a field day for the graduating class with games, food, and fun. The seniors were divided into teams based on their English teacher. Those who had Ms. Jones were wearing red shirts. Dr. Forbess’ students wore green; both Mr. Purcell and Mr. Pfeiffer’s students had on blue. Before the picnic, all seniors gathered in the rotunda to start the parade where they would walk around the school while their underclass men cheered them on. The picnic itself was outside on the school’s football field, with games such as kickball, a food relay race, and two bounce house obstacle courses. Some of the students just enjoyed the food, “ I didn’t really participate in the games, but my favorite part was the slushes”, says Kaitlyn Sjoblom. Those slushes being the Italian Ice severed as well as Chik-fil-a boxes. We hope our seniors had so much fun out there and didn’t get too many sunburns!
