Emma Wilkins, WRITER

Bent is a foreign exchange student from Germany who came to American for his Junior year of school. He lives with his House family in Arlington, Tn. He has 1 brother and 1 sister in America and a dog named Winnie. His hobbies include band, being with friends and going to the gym after school.

When asked if he would encourage other student to do foreign exchange he responded with “I think coming to a different country at a young age seeing and learning new things is such a cool experience that I wish everyone could do.” He loves America and tells us how one of the things that has made his experience so cool is how welcomed he felt even though he was new.

Bent’s biggest piece of advice is to go out of your comfort zone. He says the best way to making friends is to just reach out and talk to classmates. He has formed a true friendship with many friends through the similar interest in the gym. Bent says “ The gym was made a make so many friends, I enjoy going because I know i will have a good time with my friends as well as workout”.
