Remember transitioning from middle school to high school? It was intimidating and maybe even a bit scary. Now imagine going from elementary straight to high school! Courtney Sipac went from working at Lakeland elementary to braving the students at Arlington High School and was asked all about it.
Mrs. Sipac currently lives in Lakeland where she previously worked. When she isn’t spending time with her kids, she likes to sleep. She has four boys and one girl. Her sons are thirteen, eleven, eight, and six; her daughter is also six–the last two are twins. She finally got her girl, and even she came along with another boy.
She’s very kind and outgoing. “I’d say she has a good personality. She’s very friendly with the students and staff.” Julie Koonce said when asked about her impression of her new coworker.
Although the transition for Ms. Sipac has definitely been different, she seems to be handling it particularly well. When asked about whether the change was going good for her, Courtneys coworker, Julie Koonce, said “Yeah, I think so, I believe she came from a different position [at Lakeland], like maintenance or something. I think she likes the fast pace of the kitchen and the work.” From the perspective of her coworkers, she seems like a hard worker that really appreciates what she’s doing. “I think she likes it better that she has more interaction with the students.” Julie Koonce told us, referring to the switch from Lakeland to Arlington.
Courtney Sipac, new staff member in Arlington High Schools cafeteria is transitioning to Arlington quite well despite it being a big change for her. Overall, she is happy to be working here, and Arlington is happy to have her.
