A new facility is being built for the use of the The Arlington High School (Arlington, TN) fine arts program. At AHS, the Fine Arts Program is rapidly expanding, and this is just what they need to keep them growing.
This expansion has a worth of 8.5 million dollars. This bigger and better expansion will include an entrance, a band room that is 3 times in current size, color guard practice space, new storage areas, an employee work lounge, an orchestra room, an art gallery, and a theatre/stage, as well as a new media arts classroom. The students will benefit greatly from this extra space to practice their talents. Band Director, Timothy Simpson, explains how this extension will have a room big enough for the entire ensemble, whereas currently the practice room can only fit about one-third of the band.
Progress is increasing rapidly. The estimated date of completion is spring of 2024. The students in Arlington Band are beaming with excitement for this project to be completed and for the students to create masterpieces in their new personal space. The AHS community can’t wait to see what new opportunities and experiences come from what is now just a work in progress.
