On Saturday, February 22, Arlington High School softball opened their season with a play day. This play day was highly anticipated as they have been working hard to prepare for it. The play day took place in Millington. Our tiger girls played two games, against ECS and Ripley. Fortunately, they proudly beat ECS 13-0 with grit and hustle. A big moment in this game was AHS 1st baseman, Breleigh Bunker hitting a homerun. Their second game ended with a tie against Ripley 3-3.
The AHS softball girls were so proud of themselves and the result of their hard work paying off. Senior, Breleigh Bunker shares, “It was definitely sad knowing that this is one of my many last firsts, but I’m so thankful I get to have one last season playing the sport I love with my favorite people.” There is a full season ahead of these girls and the town of Arlington has high hopes for them.
