Arlington High School has an entire class dedicated to building the perfect Yearbook for its students. “We design every aspect of the yearbook. We go out and get pictures as well as gather information on whatever we are picturing,” says Tim Wales. Those in Yearbook run picture day and distribute yearbooks at the end of the year. “We have to constantly work on design as well as getting content for the pages.”
The Yearbook is run by Carl Pfieffer, but students also take up leadership positions to make it a fully student run course. “It’s relaxed and it’s fun.” In the class students learn to work as a team and pay respect to deadlines. As a group they discuss the theme and style of the content so that the yearbooks they sell are loved by the hundreds of students who buy them.
Yearbooks are $85 on balfour.com, buy them before they sell out!
