“In 7th grade I got my wisdom teeth taken out. I woke up I was very scared, I had never been put under anesthesia. I got there and they called me to the back, I remember it being very cold. I was very young to be getting my wisdom teeth removed. They talked to me for a minute and then they put the mask over my face. They told me to count backwards from ten. I don’t remember when I fell asleep or how long I was out. I remember them saying my name to wake me up and the first thing I saw was my bloody tooth in front of me. I wasn’t in any pain, but I was very numb. I had to get out of the chair and I started crying and asking for my mom. I got to the recovery chair and I was out of it, I didn’t know what was going on. Even though I was very young and scared, I was fine. I was in pain for a week but I know it was better than dealing with the pain later on in my life.”
