This school year, the science labs got new microscopes funded by the school. Mrs. Pennington and Mrs. Pike put a request in for new microscopes at the end of last year. The school received ten Leica DM500 collegiate level microscopes and ten Leica DM300 advanced high school level microscopes. Mrs. Pennington talked about how the new microscopes were much more advanced when compared to the previous ones that had been used since the opening of Arlington High School.
Mrs. Pennington stated that “the microscopes can be used for any life science class like biology, anatomy and physiology, forensics, and so on”. These microscopes will give students a better look at what they are studying and will help improve their education.
