Zach Baker, a senior at Arlington High School, has spent the past few seasons on the Varsity Football Team as Quarterback, leading his team to success. On October 27, 2020, Baker committed to Henderson State University (HSU) to play football at the collegiate level. HSU is a Division 2 school in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Baker heard about Henderson State from his recruiter, who is a HSU alumni with many connections. He plans to play football there during his entire college career.
Baker is very grateful for this opportunity and thankful for everyone who has helped him get this far in his athletics. “My family has always supported me in my football career by going to every game.” Baker is also thankful for his teammates who have encouraged him to work hard over the years. “My coaches definitely play the most important role in supporting me. They have always been there for me on and off the field.”
Baker hopes to have a successful and overall great college experience. He also is excited to hopefully meet many lifelong friends at Henderson State. “I think it is a bittersweet feeling because although I am excited to play at the college level, it will be sad leaving my loved ones. I know in the end it will all be worth it because this has always been my dream.”
