Who is this new incoming teacher at AHS? What will he change?

Do you wonder who this new AHS teacher is? His name is Tyler McCoin and a little bit about him is that he is twenty-four years old, lives in Lakeland, TN, loves to play archery, and has two dogs, Boe and Remie; he is also a first year teacher and will be helping with special needs students. He has always had the passion of interacting with kids. He loves getting to understand them on a personal level and loves helping them learn. He was inspired by his mom because she has been a teacher his whole life.

What does Mr. McCoin dislike about teaching? His response was, “I hate waking up early.” This can be everyone’s problem because it’s the one thing about school no one looks forward to. When asked if he would ever want to change anything about his path, he said, “I would like to be a PE teacher eventually or a college football coach.” Not knowing anything about the path he is in, we asked him other inciting questions.

Mr. McCoin talks about his daily routine in this lifestyle in which he says, “My daily routine with the kids changes every day, classes rotate, we help them complete their work.” Mr. McCoin then shares what their class schedule looks like. “We are working on language and speaking, Tyler says.” Mr. McCoin tells us how he has always had a soft spot in his heart, so his outlook on life hasn’t changed. Mr. McCoin also had some great tips that he shared. He says to always have patience, work with them, and you will soon learn how to guide them in a better way.
