The Arlington Tigers face off vs the Collierville Dragons on the road, Friday at 7:00. The tigers (1-3) look to bounce back after last Fridays loss to Bartlett, Star player Jhabari Ellis says the team and coaches look to move forward. “I think that us and the coaches collectively are just trying to forget about last Friday because that was just disgusting.”
The Tigers look for a huge upset on the road vs the undefeated dragons (4-0), while the dragons look for a repeat performance of last season when they took on the Tigers, putting on a strong performance and winning 30-0. The Tigers look for their first win vs Collierville in 5 years. Their last victory coming at home, beating the Dragons 21-14 in 2019.
Ellis, a senior, looks to make an impact and help the Tiger’s offense, who have only averaged 16 points per game so far this season. He believes their offensive scheme will be successful against the dragons this week. “We got a couple of new plays and formations that I think we’re going to use that might look a little weird at first, but when we start executing it’s going to be pretty normal to us. We got some stuff for Collierville that they wouldn’t expect, we’re going to surprise them for sure.” Ellis believes his team can go into Collierville and steal a win on the road. “For the rest of our schedule we have to play a perfect game, every single team that we play. And that’s just how it’s going to be versus Collierville, Now there will be mistakes but we ultimately have to do more good than bad. I feel like if we can execute right and get the ball in our playmaker’s hands, we can get this win for sure.”
