Saturday, February 22nd , is set to be the first match of the boys volleyball team’s season as they get ready to play their very first match as a program. The guys go on the road to face Blackman High School at 5PM, weather pending. Blackman High (along with Arlington), is one of the few high schools in the state of TN with a volleyball program. The Tigers look to get off to a fast start in their first season as a program by getting the win in Murfreesboro, led by coaches Scott Caulk & Art Fields.
I got to talk with Senior player Conner Clines, and get his thoughts on the upcoming matchup and what his thoughts are. “I think we’re prepared for the task at hand. It’s going to be a tough match but we’re feeling pretty confident. We’ve been practicing a decent amount up to this point and I think we’re getting better every time.”
The Tigers will also be having an exhibition match before the official season starts, on Thursday February 20th, at 6PM. Varsity and Junior Varsity will be in action as they will be facing off against each other.
