AHS Varsity Tigers easily dispatched Bartlett on Wednesday at Arlington High School, 10-0.
AHS got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Tatum Bittick scored after tagging up, Rory Caldwell homered, scoring three runs, and Lily Hatch singled, scoring one run.
AHS added two runs in the third after Brittanie Layton doubled.
Layton earned the win for AHS. The starter gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking none.
AHS Tigers tallied 12 hits in the game. McKenzie Walker, Layton, Jenna Reeves, Hadley Edwards, and Hatch each collected two hits for AHS Tigers. Layton and Caldwell each drove in three runs for AHS. AHS Tigers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Edwards has the most chances in the field with six.
After the big win the team had their Senior Night. Senior McKenzie Walker gives her opinion on Senior night, “Every year Senior Night is such a sweet and wholesome night for the seniors it is just hard to believe that I am a senior.”
