The Boy’s Tiger’s Soccer Season is kicking off!

Boy’s soccer season is kicking off with a few wins already in the book. The varsity boy’s team were in their preseason and during that time, they played three teams. These three teams included Harding Academy, Madison Academic, and South Gibson. The results of these games were all victories. As of a few days ago, their regular season started. Their first game to kick off the regular season was against Kingsbury. The Tigers took the victory by winning 3-0. The Arlington Tigers have been working each and every day for themselves and for their team.

A senior soccer player at AHS, Preston Bowen, states, “I am excited for this upcoming season. Our team has put lots of time and effort into this season to hopefully quality for state. As a senior, its exhilarating to show the progress we have made as a team over the years. I am ready to give it my all this season and show everyone who Arlington is.”

These boys have pushed everyday, as Preston Bowen mentioned, to become to best they can be as they begin their soccer season. There are ten seniors on the varsity soccer team this year. Each one of them have been influential in the team’s development and success.

Everyone see’s how hard these boys push themselves and it’s showing in their results. A former soccer player for the women’s AHS soccer team, Stephanie Cifuentes, states, “I am thrilled to see how far the boys go this year. Last year, the boys didn’t qualify for state, but this year I believe they will. They have great players with a lot of skill and they are very determined.”

People can’t wait for this season to start. The school of AHS is roaming with excitement for these boys and the games coming up. They have tons of competition ahead of them, but they are ready to take it on.
