Message in a Bottle

A message in a bottle is a pastime that doesn’t get used nowadays. Used many times by sailors before modern communication devices were even thought of. A woman from Australia has found a bottle dating back to the late 1800’s, 132 years old. The bottle was thrown into the Indian Ocean, dated June 12th, 1886, by a German sailor. This bottle was one of thousands thrown into the ocean by the Germans being part of a near century long experiment. This has been the oldest bottle found by far. The last record was 108 years old. It was found buried half way in the sand, found by the woman and her family. It was in incredible condition for how old it was, this was an amazing discovery and was part of the experiment that helped discover modern trade routes.
