How New AHS Seniors Are Preparing for College

At AHS , the application process is underway. Many senior students have began to think about college and their future. Kilion McGowan, AHS senior, discussed his short list of schools. “The schools I’m interested in right now are university of Tennessee-Knoxville, Memphis, and University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.”

While Kilion has not began applying to schools, many students have began or completed applications to their dream schools. Seniors have began preparing for college and have been working hard to make sure they can get into their dream schools. “I’ve been working and studying a lot more because I have to have the proper grades to succeed. If I don’t reach their expectations, I wouldn’t get in the colleges I am interested in currently.”

While students are ready for this next step in their lives, they also will miss the good times in high school. “I’m ready for college but at the same time I will miss high school.”
