Say it Ain’t So…

In Fall 2004, Arlington High School opened its doors welcoming it’s first class, the class of 2008. A small group of Freshmen entered the halls of our now well-known school. Among these students was a Angela Rizzi. Angela was like most other students. She went to class, participated in clubs, and lived her life outside of school, but things changed in her senior year. “I didn’t go to college. I got married.”
As a young woman of nineteen, with a husband and a child, odds were stacked against newly named Angela Jenkins. However, she found solace at a local church called “The Refuge.” Angela Jenkins fell in love with the family feeling created by the pastor and Arlington’s very own school board member, Scott Benjamin. When asked how this has changed her, Angela said, “I have grown in being and adult and I have learned that life is to short to not enjoy it.”
Angela learned to embrace and accept her skills, later she even started her own business off of EBay called “Say it Ain’t Sew”. When Angela is not working as a wedding assistant, she sells maternity jewelry and apparel. However according to her, “The most important job is taking care of my four children. It keeps us busy and full of life.”Angela looks forward to the next adventure and all the adventures to come.
