The Arlington High School Junior Varsity and Varsity cheer team headed to Orlando, Florida for Nationals on February 7th. They competed in the National Championship on February 9th, hoping to bring home the first place title. While speaking to senior, Hallie Edwards, she said, “We have been preparing as much as possible, but I am a little sad that this will be my last year cheering with Arlington so I hope that we bring home the win.”
The outcomes for the Varsity team did not go as planned. They ended up getting 16th in nationals, barely missing their chance to make it to finals. The AHS Varsity team placed fourth in the Worlds Championship however. AHS Junior Varsity Cheer Team placed 3rd in nationals, and earned first place in Worlds. The AHS JV Cheer Team earned white jackets as a result of their win.
While the results were not as expected, the teams performed well, and gave it their all. Congratulations.
