Arlington Highschool will be offering some new classes starting in the 2019-2020 year. One of these clases is the Junior ROTC or junior reserve officers training corps. The materials covered in this class are leadership, citizenship, and topics of the U.S Military and Government.

This will help students who are interested in joining the military in the future. Though, not only does this class prepare students for a life in the military it also gives them many life skills such as leadership, confidence, and overall organization.

According to Harding University, “Traits stressed in JROTC, are among skills that students will need to compete in a diverse and global workforce.”

Another good factor of this class is that it is all free, including materials, uniforms, and supplies. Overall the Jr. ROTC will give Arlington High School a stronger variety of classes and benefit the student who decide to enroll in this class.

For more details on signing up for the Jr ROTC class at Arlington High School, please contact your guidance counselor.
