Jackson Williams is currently a cross country runner for Arlington High School. He has recently began to love running. “I started running in 8th grade. Back in 8th grade some of my friends thought it would be fun to join the cross country team, so we joined it and that’s where it all started.” Jackson is a very prestigious runner and highly ranked in the state for not only cross country but track as well. “I am ranked 4th in the state for cross country and I was 8th in the mile and 5th in the 2 mile races for track last year.” For him him to be a good runner, he has to run lots to keep himself in shape. “On average, I do about 60 miles of running a week with 70 being the highest.” Jackson also has set good goals for himself this year. “My goals for cross country were to get as high as possible at the state meet and I got 4th. My goals for track are to do the same things and to hopefully run 4:06 for the mile and under 9 minutes for the 2 mile.” Due to his success in running, Jackson is going to the University of Memphis. He plans on having great success there as well.
