We want to welcome  Keith Webb to the tiger family. Mr. Webb is a new math teacher at Arlington High school. “ I currently teach Geometry and Honors Geometry which consists of a mixture of 9th and 10thgraders.” Mr. Webb has been a class room teach for 27 years and has “ taught everything from 7thgrade math all the way up to AP Calculus.” He earned his “Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi with a major in Mathematics and my Master’s degree from William Carey University with a major in Secondary Education.  I have also completed post graduate hours at Freed-Hardeman University and Mississippi State University.” Not only has Mr. Webb taught in Mississippi,” Since moving to Tennessee, I have taught at Southwind High School, Germantown High School, and now at Arlington.” In his own words, Mr Webb applied for Arlington because “ I have three friends who are teachers here that I worked with previously at other schools and, at different times, they each recommended that I apply to teach here at Arlington. I had heard great things about Arlington since I moved to this area in 2007. So, I talked it over with my wife and made the decision to apply for a position as a math teacher, and I couldn’t be happier with that decision.” Mr. Webbs favorite part about being a teacher is, “ seeing that ‘I got this’ look that will come across a student’s face when they realize that they have finally mastered something with which they have struggled mightily.” During this time of COVID, Mr. Webb helps students by “being patient and understanding as we all adjust to our new reality.  The truth is that I need their help as much as they need mine.”Lastly for his expectations of the school year of 20-21, he expects “this year to be the best year ever and I will tell you why.

Arlington High School has an amazing sense of community here and I look forward to coming to work every day.
