Tim Farrell spends his days with numbers. He knows how many hours he needs to teach Algebra concepts. He knows how long his classes are. But the one number he struggles with the most, is the number of hours in the schedule to teach his in-person students. He has been teaching for 13 years but he never thought he would be teaching during a pandemic. Being able to prepare for this school year has been a struggle for him. A piece of advice he would give is “Ask questions as much as possible.” This is very important due to the lack of in-person teaching the students receive. He thinks the EOC testing will be impacted this year, because the students aren’t getting enough class time, however Mr.Farrell said, “ The TN Department of Education and fair rarely go together.” According to him this new schedule may help a little bit with preparing students for college.
