2020 has been a crazy year with everything that has been going on. First we were quarantine and now all we do is wear mask. As we are nearing the end of the year, it is said that Pfizer has a vaccine that Is 95% affective on people who have tried it in their trial. This news was found out on November 9^th after the eight out of 170 people started to get better. The vaccine has a experimental name of BNT162b2 and has already been through its third trial to get out all the kinks. After they went over everything and fixed what needs to be fixed, Pfizer got in contact with the FDA within days to get it out to American people. Health officials were very pleased with the 90% efficacy the vaccine had at first. Now after reviewing the data, health officials rate even more satisfied because of the 95% efficacy.  Some think it might be ready by the end of December to early January.

With the new vaccine hopefully coming in soon, we asked a few AHS students about the past year and what is to come. Faith Bell stated , “ Wearing a mask at school is exhausting and frustrating because it gets uncomfortable and I always have the urge to take it off when it’s in my way.” On top of the struggle of it being uncomfortable, “ Wearing a mask at school can be very frustrating when trying to understand what people are saying,” as said by Lainie Childers. If the vaccine come out at the end of December,  Faith said “ I don’t plan on getting the vaccine when it comes out simply because I don’t want the virus,” But Lainie stated “ I may eventually get it, but the people who are compromised should get the vaccine first.” With the next semester coming up we asked the question what does this mean for next semester. Lainie responded with
