For a lot of people April is just another month but for Arlington, April is a month to celebrate. Arlington In April is a festival full of friends and fun. As Asher Humphrey puts it “I enjoy seeing all the people I know” At Arlington in April there is such a variety of things to do and friends to see. They’ve previously had Civil War reenactments, butter churning, pottery making, quilt making and tons more. As Garret Hudson says “ I really enjoyed seeing the blacksmiths work” It hasn’t always been like this though in 1998 the Arlington Chapter of APTA was having a problem getting funds to preserve the historic sites in Arlington. As Arlington has five sites that need care and renovation. So the group came up with Arlington in April. At first there were only about 100 people viewing the historic area at this festival,  but after being canceled for 2 years due to covid Arlington expects over 1,000 to enjoy and benefit from this festival this year at Arlingtons Historic Square. As Reagan Bruce says “ I’m excited to see what Arlington in April has after two years of being canceled” Arlington is excited to have this event back.
