The biggest game of the 2024-25 NFL season takes place this Sunday February 9th. The AFC’s Kansas City Chiefs (17-2) face off in a rematch of Super Bowl 57 against the NFC’s Philadelphia Eagles (17-3). The Chiefs led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Head Coach Andy Reid, look for a 3 peat Super Bowl victory. Which would be the first time a team in the NFL won 3 championships in a row. The Eagles, on the other hand, look to end Kansas City’s streak on Sunday led by their star quarterback Jalen Hurts and Head Coach Nick Sirianni. Sirianni is looking for his first Super Bowl victory as a Head Coach after appearing in the big game in 2023 against the Chiefs but coming up just short in a 38-35 defeat. The Eagles look to take home their first Super Bowl victory since 2018 when they were lead by quarterback Nick Foles in the victory over NFL legend Tom Brady and the Patriots in Super Bowl 52.

Aside from the game there are also multiple other festivities that revolve around the Super Bowl that people love to take in as well. A lot of people have parties with family and friends with plenty of food to indulge in during the big game, others will enjoy watching the halftime show starring rapper Kendrick Lamar, and some people might simply just love the event for the commercials.

I got an opinion on this year’s Super Bowl from viewer Cooper Caskey. He has some thoughts about the teams and the upcoming halftime show.“I really want the Eagles to win because I’m kind of tired of seeing the Chiefs win it, seems like every year. I’m not a fan of either team but i just think it’s good to have some variety and not have the same team win over and over. I’m honestly excited to watch Kendrick at halftime too. I listen to his music here and there so it’ll be pretty cool to see him perform this year.”
