Arlington Middle school is going to have a new gym by the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. This new gym is said to have 20,000 more square feet than the old gym. In a recent interview, Tyler Hill said, “we believe that this new gym will bring more families and students to our community. Now that we have a bigger gym we will hopefully be able to host tournaments.” This new AMS gym is equipped with a new high tech score board, which monitors players heart rates now to keep track of their health when in a game. The gym has taken longer to build than expected, having a very high amount of rainy days has put some of the work on hold. Right now the gym is at a cost of $3.5 million.
