An Arlington High School Class of 2016 President and Alumnus has made her way back to her roots here at Arlington Community Schools. Sophia Rizzi, a recent graduate of the University of Memphis, is starting her teaching career teaching fourth grade at Donelson Elementary. “I’m beyond excited to start my teaching career with ACS.”Though this year has been challenging with schedule changes and workload stress, Ms. Rizzi has experience in maintaining self-care. “ I wanted to be the best. The issue with that is that I ended up draining myself and not thinking about my own self-care. The summer after my freshman year, I fell in love with exercising and fitness altogether.” She now continues exercising as a way to de-stress from a challenging year. However, that’s not the only thing. “There are other ways I like to unwind from stress and challenges. I love doing something creative, such as art, or reading a good book.” Mrs. Rizzi also loves and cares for her students very much as she says, “I love my students. There is nothing more i want than to help them reach their biggest goals in life. I believe all students deserve the love and encouragement from a teacher that really cares about them.”
