Melanie Contreras is a senior at Arlington High School. She has attended Arlington all 4 years of high school and and is a very involved student on and off campus. She has been a part of the Arlington High School Lady Tiger Soccer team for all 4 years and is the Executive Communications for AHS Student Council and Treasurer for AHS Beta Club. She is also involved in CTE classes at AHS. Melanie plans to attend the University of Memphis and then transfer to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center to then go into the Dental Hygiene program.

When asked about her experience at Arlington, Melanie said “Arlington has allowed me to meet and make new relationships with people who have influenced me to become the best version of myself. I have made the closest friendships through Arlington High School activities.” Melanie says her favorite memory of AHS and what she will mis the most is the soccer team. “I have made the best of friends out of it.” Melanie says that her senior year experience “Has been good even though it has been very different. I am glad we were able to have a soccer season and are able to come into school some days to see our fellow classmates.” Some advice Melanie would give to freshmen is, “

Cherish the time you have now in high school because time flies. Try to be involved as much as you can by supporting sports teams and joining clubs to enjoy high school.
