Sports Media Journalist Spotlight

Isabella Genovesi, Journalist

Bree Alvarado, who is a Sports Media Production journalist, is able to manage this task while also staying very involved in Arlington High School. Bree stated “I am an honors student who is in several clubs including Advocates for Human Rights, Beta Club, National Honor Society, Film Appreciation Club, and Student Council.”  She enjoys being a Sports Media journalist because it allows her to stay very involved in her school and stay knowledgeable about the sports that our school has to offer. Bree stated “my favorite part about being in the Sports Media Production class is creating hype videos for the Football Team and editing new projects.” She also loves that she is able to support the athletes at our school through live streaming the games here at school. She is very glad she chose to take this class and is excited to see how she will continue growing as a journalist throughout the school year. She wants to be a lawyer when she grows up, and she knows this class will help her get there. She stated “taking this class allows me to gain the communication skills needed for my future career.” She is confident that the skill sets she will gain from this class will help benefit her in the future. “I am excited to see what other skills I will gain from this class in the remainder of the school year as well.” She has loved her experiences in this class so far and she will definitely recommend this class to students in the future. She stated “I encourage other students to take this class as well as it is a great hands on, exciting, and different class than anything else offered here at Arlington High School.” She believes that the experiences she has gained from this class compare to no other and she is so thankful to be in this class. “
